Paul M. Colopy, M.D.

Dr. Colopy completed a neuromuscular fellowship at the University of Virginia in 1988. He was also on the Neurology Department staff supervising medical students, interns and neurology residents. Internship and residency training were at Bethesda Naval Hospital ; medical school was on a Navy scholarship to the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine. He became Board Certified in Neurology in 1984, and has additional Board Certifications in EEG, Evoked Potentials and EMG. He received several awards and letters of appreciation for clinical work and teaching. He began neurology practice in Fredericksburg, Virginia in July 1988. Since then, he has been the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Mary Washington Hospital, President of the Fredericksburg Area Medical Society and member of the Medical Society of Virginia, Board Member, 2009-2011. He is also an involved and active member of the Virginia Neurological Society, American Academy of Neurology, American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Colopy is on the General Board of the Homeless Shelter and sees patients for the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic.

Dr. Colopy is married with three daughters. He has also been a Rotarian and enjoys singing in his church choir.
